Have a feeling I should start this with a quote:
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”
Benjamin Franklin
I felt that was a good quote to start with for the content of this journal and how I learn best which is actually being hands on involved. I started this originally on an app I was self hosting called memos , its like a personal twitter style blog. I used it for better half of last year as a personal log where I would put reminders or my thoughts and ideas. That lasted about 5 months before I stopped using it as much to the point where I just forgot about everything on it.
Fast forward to last month where I decided to start using it to journal my journey through learning to code, I archived all the old posts from last year and was going to "relaunch" it if you will and made a great first post about the start of my journey and posted it and all was fine. Fast forward again to last night and I was going to post an update and right away could see there was issues and decided to just wipe it and start over. Set it back up and started up with another first post that I liked that then combined what I had intended to post anyways and again it was not working correctly. So I decided to abandon it all together as I felt it was not was I was looking for and didn't have the right direction I wanted to have for this and would feel more just like my own "memos".
Thankfully I copied my work before it decided it did not want to work with my ideas and have my "first post" which is now going to be more like the 3rd both in timeline here and in the amount of times I will have posted it which will be posted next.
Thanks for reading and joining me on this journey.
